This May, Peter Sawkins, National Numeracy Ambassador and winner of The Great British Bake Off 2020, will be joined by the Numberblocks in a special Numberblock Five baking video. Children will enjoy the Numberblocks Flapjack Five bake-along video and recipe sheet. Following along with Peter, step-by-step, children will use maths and numbers to create their very own tasty, vegan, Five out of flapjacks.
Peter has also created a birthday cake recipe for older children.
The fun and supportive videos and recipe sheets will help children of all ages feel good about numbers while have fun making tasty treats that they will be proud to share with their friends and families.
Numberblocks has also created a special set of downloadable National Numeracy Day activities for children to use at nursery, school or home.
How to take part
Children can bake-along with Peter at home using the recipe sheets and videos as well as lots of other free activities on the Numeracy Day children’s hub.
